A.  Sapphires occur is a rainbow of colors and are called fancies by jewelers.  To mention a few, there are bright orange, yellow, green, bluish-green, lavender, purple, pink, and white sapphires. One rare and expensive sapphire is orange-pink or pinkish-orange; called the padparadja, which means something like lotus blossom. (Remember, the red corundum is the ruby.)
